Criminal defense attorney John E. DeVito served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Army from 1971 to 1974. During his service, he participated in the JAG Program where he defended Army personnel on trial for misdemeanor charges. Mr. DeVito began his official legal career in 1977 as an Assistant District Attorney in Norfolk County, Massachusetts.

Mr. DeVito opened a private practice criminal law firm in 1979 and has continued to defend individuals facing criminal charges for the past 30 years in Boston and the surrounding area.
